Clark County 4-H Families and Volunteers:
It is not TAX DAY this week, but it is 4-H Enrollment Day! Please make sure you have enrolled in 4-H by April 15th! Go to https://oh.4honline.com to enroll. If you need any help completing the on-line enrollment process, please contact Linda Newman at 937-398-7604 or e-mail email@example.com. Thanks for your cooperation!
It was announced this week that the 2021 Ohio State Fair will be July 19-August 8. It will be limited to just exhibitor participation with livestock, horses, dogs, and miscellaneous 4-H projects – no spectators. There has not been a schedule of what shows and 4-H project judging will be done on what days at the Ohio State Fair. Until we know the Ohio State Fair schedule, we do not know whether we will need to make any adjustments to the Clark County Jr. Fair schedule. We will keep you updated as needed.
I know many of you are wondering “What about 4-H Camp”? We have been working with Camp Counselors and Camp staff to plan an exciting 4-H camp. Counselors have been amazing at planning despite not knowing what format camp will be offered. Ohio 4-H is awaiting a final determination from OSU Administration at the Provost level regarding June overnight 4-H camps by this Friday, April 16. OSU Administration has provided approval for 4-H in-person day camp programming. We are committed to providing the best possible 4-H Camp experience whichever direction we receive final approval. Look for an update soon!
Beginning Monday, April 19, the OSU Extension Clark County Office will resume normal office hours 8 AM to 4:30 PM – Monday through Friday. All COVID-19 protocols are still in place. You may purchase project books either with cash, check or credit card at our office. We still are not able to lend out Skill-a-thon or Cloverbud Kits due to the required disinfecting protocol, however there are many great on-line project related resources. Check out the links on the 4-H App under Projects or on the website at https://clark.osu.edu.
There are a lot of important updates in this Weekly 4-H update. Please READ CAREFULLY and TAKE appropriate ACTION(s)!
