    Better Lives, Stronger Communities

    OSU Extension family and consumer sciences (FCS) gives people the knowledge, skills and tools needed to make healthy, informed choices. We teach and promote safe food practices, better nutrition, better finances and better relationships – helping people acquire the knowledge and skills to make smart decisions in these areas.

    EFNEP (Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program) is a free nutrition education program offered in several counties in Ohio targeting families with limited resources.

  6. The Ohio State University Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program offers a comprehensive 50-hour training course covering a wide range of horticultural topics for Ohio residents. After completing the training, volunteers contribute their time and expertise by supporting educational programs and activities at their local OSU Extension county offices.

    The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Education Program (SNAP-Ed) is a free nutrition education and obesity prevention program serving low-income adults and youth. It is funded by the Food Nutrition Service (FNS) branch of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). SNAP-Ed operates in 52 states and territories, and its focus audience is individuals and families eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly known as food stamps).
