- Dr. Laura Deeter, Professor of Practice in Horticulture and Crop Science at OSU, will share insights on Design by Plan and Accident, exploring garden design principles, how to adapt to the unpredictable nature of plants and weather, and when to break the rules to create your ideal garden, and Shady Characters, discovering a variety of shade plants that will transform your shady garden into a stunning, envy-worthy space while showing you the benefits of gardening in the shade.
- Dr. David Shetlar, Professor Emeritus of Urban Landscape Entomology at OSU, will present Insect and Mite Pests of Ohio Perennial Plants, covering the identification, biology, and control methods (cultural, biological, and chemical) for generalist and specific insect and mite pests that commonly affect perennial plants.
- Sabrina Schirtzinger, Extension Educator in Agriculture and Natural Resources at OSU, will discuss Garden to Vase, incorporating cut flowers and perennials into your gardens.
- Pam Bennett, State Master Gardener Program Director and Extension Educator in Horticulture at OSU, will teach about Small Trees for the Perennial Garden, highlighting the best tree varieties to incorporate and their pollinator benefits.
